Local appraiser elected State Director for the National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers (NAIFA).
Gena Upchurch, IFA has been elected to serve as Texas State Director for 2008. The duties of a state director shall be those of the presiding officer within his/her state. The State Director shall organize, encourage, and promote the formation of new chapters and/or consolidation of chapters within their state. Additionally Ms. Upchurch will be helping to coordinated education courses presented by the Chapters within the state. NAIFA with national offices in Chicago, Illinois is a national appraisal organization and one of the founding members of The Appraisal Foundation.
Gena has served twice as President of the Lake Tawakoni Regional Chamber of Commerce. She is owner of Upchurch Real Estate Appraisals and part owner of Century 21 – Upchurch Real Estate with offices in Quinlan and Royce City. Gena Upchurch has been a real estate appraiser since 1982. She has also served the Greater Dallas Chapter of NAIFA as President and is currently on the Chapter Board of Directors.
